The Lonesome Pine Office on Youth is a not-for-

profit organization established in 1980. 

Our mission is to serve youth and families in Southwest Virginia thru education, access to academic supports, and safe crime-free communities fostering the development of healthy families and children. This office emphasizes the coordination of services and specializes in research-based, locally driven community program designs and resources. The Lonesome Pine Office on Youth integrates the community needs assessments with known risk factors to secure resources and provide linkages for all youth and citizens by activities designed to meet and assure collaborative community needs. Utilizing an entrepreneurship approach to program development, the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth is committed to sustaining successful programs. Our purpose is to prepare youth and adults to be active, self- sufficient and productive citizens, who can contribute to their community's social and economic development.
